Europe is going to clamp down the cryptocurrency after the events in Paris

The European Union plans to tighten control over the virtual currency due to the tragic events in Paris. The authorities have been focused on anonymous online payment services and anonymous money transfers.

The terrorist attacks in the French capital have pushed the senior management of the EU to tighten controls over the transactions that are carried out without confirming the identity and the nuances of the transaction.

The most famous online payment tool Bitcoin may suffer in the result of restrictive measures. The EU ministers are concerned that Bitcoin technology allows transferring money around the world and it does not ask for information about the sender and beneficiary. At the moment, such transactions are not controlled.

Let us recall that on November 13th Paris experienced several terrorist attacks, which killed 132 people. Explosions and gunfire occurred in seven districts of the city. Today the country continues to live in a state of emergency.
