Digital bank W21 with half a million customers will accept deposits in bitcoins.
Digital bank itself is not a novelty, but a bank that accepts bitcoins is an unusual phenomenon, claimed СЕО of W21 Michael Gastauer.
According to him, some users come across a situation when a bank does not support national accounts in their countries. Possibility to deposit bitcoins solves this problem: customer sends coins to the bank address, and the latter converts them into the currency convenient for the user. Funds become immediately available for the bank deposit account holder, and can be moved by wire transfer.
BitPay was chosen as a payment system, which will help to implement this bank instrument.
WB21 is a licensed bank with monthly volume of payments of $400 million. Citizens of 180 countries use its services.
