25 cryptocurrency platforms were united in RSK Federation working group to establish smart contract network.
The system, based on Bitcoin, will be more reliable than the one, based on Ethereum, they believe.
The participants include temporary blocked due to the attack Bitfinex, American BitGo and BitPay, and the range of platforms from Luxembourg, Canada and China.
The association is aiming to expand the Bitcoin system and solve its key issues within the nearest years.
The Federation is called RSK due to the name of RSK smart contract created by Rootstock team from Argentine. According to CEO Diego Gutiérrez Zaldívar, companies will focus on examining ways of expanding Bitcoin functionality, using sidechains.
Since this May, the RSK smart contract platform has been functioning in a test version. Its full launch is planned for 2017.
