International payment systems VISA and Mastercard increased the commission fee for the purchase of cryptocurrency by changing the service classification, writes TechCrunch.
Buying digital money was put on a par with cashing out. From now on, if a user purchases BTC using a credit card, they’ll have to pay not only the standard exchange fee, but also cash withdrawal fee.
At the moment, new conditions only affect purchasing virtual coins on the Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange. However, the list of platforms will expand.
It is noted that user commission costs will grow by 5%. Sometimes the rate for such transactions can reach 25.99% per day.
